As a veteran with a passion for history, I believe our experiences help to shape who we are, how we behave, and what we think. However, unlike the static nature of history, it is important to recognize that our story is not yet complete.
I tailor sessions to the person sitting with me, pulling from existentialism, Gestalt, EMDR, and narrative therapy. I act as a guide and sounding board, empowering you to find the solutions that work best in your life while incorporating your faith in a way that helps you grow.
When not in the counseling office, I am most likely with my family enjoying home or the great outdoors. We are often camping, hiking, or just sitting out looking at trees and fields.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana and a trained EMDR therapist. I hold a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in History from Liberty University. I served as a Chaplain Assistant for the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, US Army, Fort Bragg, NC for five years.
